Mr. Zapffe focuses his practice almost entirely on commercial litigation, and has represented some of the largest and most prestigious financial institutions in the world. At the state level, he has extensive experience litigating matters throughout New York and New Jersey, and at the federal level, he has extensive experience litigating matters throughout the country.
Throughout the course of his career, which has now spanned nearly two decades, he has litigated thousands of matters encompassing a wide array of contractual disputes, in addition to matters involving a plethora of different federal, state, and common-law causes of action, such as violations of the Uniform Commercial Code, the Truth-in-Lending Act, the Consumer Fraud Act, and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Mr. Zapffe also has a considerable amount of appellate experience (both at the state and federal levels) and has even argued a matter before a rare en banc panel of the Third Circuit Court of Appeals—a matter in which he won 13-0, and a decision which was subsequently affirmed by the Supreme Court of the United States.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Zapffe practiced at several national law firms. He is originally from Chicago, and attended the George Mason University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate while focusing on Corporate and Securities Law. Mr. Zapffe now resides in Chester, New Jersey, with his lovely wife and two amazing sons.
